Ontario Heritage Trust Doors Open 2008
Since the program started in 2002, nearly 2.5 million people have made visits to heritage sites across Ontario.
Our own local Doors Open will be supervised by Heritage Cramahe and Brighton’s Architectural Conservancy.
Thirteen historic landmarks throughout the two communities of the Township of Cramahe and the Municipality of Brighton will be opened to the public on June 21, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free. There will be tours, poetry readings, musical interludes, refreshments and demonstrations to provide unique experiences for guests.
In Cramahe hidden treasures to be visited are Salem United Church, Victoria Square, the Registry Office, Colborne High School/Municpal Building, Trinity Anglican Church and Old St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Brighton sites include the lighthouse at Presqu’ile Park, Memory Junction and other buildings.
More information will be available at the Heritage Cramahe booth.
